I need to build a P2P system and NAT/Firewalls are giving me grief when trying to connect ‘over’ the internet.

My current thinking is create a hosted service (Azure or something) that will accept full duplex connections from each peer and proxy the data from one peer to the others. I think that’ll let me get around the NAT problem.

I get the feeling that NetworkComms.net is designed for this.

    Can it help?

    thanks

    Heya iunknown,

Yes, NetworkComms.Net can be configured to behave in this way. NetworkComms.Net is fully mono compatible so your cloud server could also be linux.

    Kind regards,
    Marc
